Married vs. "unmarried" - Pregnancy, Birth and Falling in Love with Your Baby

Considering surrogacy or egg donation? The "traditional surrogate" is the baby's actual mother.

Adoption Facts (What the adoption agencies and adoption attorneys won't tell you.)

Ninety-nine percent of adoption-related material on the Internet and in bookstores is written and/or published by the adoption industry and its customers. After all, they are the ones who historically have benefitted from adoption. Adoptees and exiled parents have been silenced by the stigma of their roles.

Here you can read "the other side of the story": the truth about adoption written by people who don't have either a vested financial interest in promoting it or justifying it as their means of enlarging their families. We are volunteers. Unlike adoption agencies and industry advertisers such as Adoption.Com, we have no financial interest in adoption. We just want to ensure the truth can be heard.

Honest Questions About Adoption - Are They Insensitive?

Prejudice Against "Unwed" Teenage Mothers - Most statements made about "unwed" mothers or teenage mothers are sweeping generalizations, based more on prejudice than reality.

"Failed Adoption" and "Birthmother Scams" - What is the preventative solution that protects adoptive people, parents and children?

Newspaper Articles:

    1. "Adoption Anguish - Listen to Jacque Kenney Guinan's story of how she reluctantly gave up her son 34 years ago, and it is easy to understand why she battled depression for decades, and why she is no fan of adoption.
    2. "Robbing the Cradle" - some fundamentalist-run pregnancy centers are no longer satifisfied talkign women out of abortion. Now they want the babies.

Note: The terms "unwed" mother, "birthmother", "birthmom", "birthmoms", "dear birthparent", "birthparent", "birthparents", "birthfather" "biological" make a parent appear to be less than the mother or father they are. These terms dehumanize and limit the parent's role to that of an incubator. Using the honest terms "mother", "single mother" or "natural mother" help the public to understand why real family members must not be separated to obtain babies for adoption.
