With all the money to be made in adoption, babies are no longer
said to be "born of their mothers"; instead babies are
said to be "born in the heart" of the person hoping
to adopt.
Two women, equal under the law.
Then one is pregnant, the other not. Suddenly, one woman becomes
"more equal" under the law. The "more equal"
one is the one who can't reproduce - the one with "adoption
dreams".
King Soloman, your solution in the Bible - to threaten to cut
the baby in half - made it obvious who the real mother was. The
infertile woman did not care if the baby was killed - as long
as the fertile woman was also deprived of a baby.
Sadly today no court in USA has such wisdom. In modern times,
the "miracle of birth" is out of favor and God's ability
to "make good choices" is called into question. "God
makes mistakes choosing parents", they claim. No baby needs
her mother - a mother is just genetic material - take her away!
God's blessing was intended for those with "adoption dreams"
- accompanied by the money required to buy a baby.
Today, each dispute in court is settled on the basis of who has
possession of the "property" being sold for adoption.

Where infant adoption is concerned, "I have a dream".
For once I'd like to see the person adopting go through nine months
carrying the baby. I'd like to see the person adopting "prove
her love" by going through labor - I'd like to see the
unrelated baby have to pass through the adopter's heart before
the adopter can take her home.
A mother who is single when her baby is born is not just "genetic
material". A mother is a human being, her child's own parent.
It is wrong to provide the people who adopt so much assistance
and to refuse to help a child's own mother and father. Thank you
for letting me have my say.
